Beef stew

Presentation
A warm and comforting dish, ideal for holidays. It takes some time but is very easy to prepare; just have some beef, onion and a little oil. Already this is very good, but a few bay leaves and a few cloves make this dish perfect.
This recipe is very simple but just as tasty, I recommend accompanying it with a generous dose of polenta.
Ingredients:
- 1kg of beef
- 100g of onion
- 100g of shallot
- 1 liter of meat broth
- salt to taste
- 50ml of olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 cloves
Preparation:

Heat the broth in a saucepan over low heat and add the salt necessary for the correct salting of the stew. In the meantime 1 cut the beef into cubes of about 3cm eliminating the excess fat, you can use any cut of meat that is not too fat. 2 Chop the onion very finely and 3 the shallot 4 which should be almost like a foam.

5 Pour the oil into a pan over high heat, 6 after 2 minutes add the onion and shallot and fry for a few minutes.

7 Add the meat and mix well to make it flavor, 8 add the 2 bay leaves and mix again. At this point 9 pour about a third of the broth over the meat and 10 add the cloves. Stir the meat well, reduce the heat to low and cover the pan with a lid.

11 When the stew has dried sufficiently, add more stock, stir and cover the pan. Repeat the operation until the broth is finished, the 12 has dried to the right point and the meat has become tender. If the stew has dried too quickly, you can add water to extend the cooking time. Serve the hot stew at the table with a generous dose of polenta.
Advise
- You can prepare many variations of this beef stew, for example instead of broth you can add beer or red wine, or perhaps you can enrich it with potatoes.
- Also remember that the stew is even better the next day.
